sacredness keep me, as I attend upon it,
and confer honour daily to all that it is.
May I recall the sacredness of past moments
when at present it seems scarce,
for what is sacred is beyond time and place.
May I call upon sacredness and daily court
its many splendor’d graces.
I beg beauty overtake me, and quicken within me,
so that I can perceive the goodness of all things.
I bow my head and whisper prayers of love
and thanksgiving, both humbled and made like a god.
Sacredness is a simple complication
that elevates the ordinary
to become extraordinary.
